Yes if the 5 subpoenaed Members resolve to resist, the committee will not get their info before the hearings. But they can still be referred for contempt, and that won't go away. If DOJ agrees-and the 5 have no real defense-there are legal, financial, & political repurcussions

Lots of people seem to think Trump beat the rap with the civil contempt.Not sure why== he failed to comply with the court's orders and was held in civil contempt until he complied, and then he lost the motion to rescind the fines. That's how civil contempt works.
